Snow Koan Solar Purchases Storage Container from Burning Man Org!
This year, for the first time, Burning Man has offered large storage containers for sale and storage. Each year they will deliver the container to the camp location before the event, and then pick it up at the end of the week.
The $2500 expense was fronted to the camp by a few generous camp members.
They have agreed to payback over a couple of years. We're going to raise the camp fee a very marginal amount this year to help cover the expense.
Using it will be a MAJOR time saver at for the preparation and at end of each Burn. It's probably saving 2 days of work for 6 people at least, one before and the other after. We may also decide to use it during the event for on-playa storage or... something else?

Set-up and breakdown help
Most of the set-up for camp happens Friday and Saturday before the gates open. Though very different, the week of set-up before the Burn is as fun as the Burn itself. Small group of people, trips out to the hot springs, meeting the artists and other folks who do large projects. If you can afford the time, think about showing up early to help out. I can get early arrival passes for people who want to come up early.
At the end of the week, we’re trying to get out of BRC by end-of-day Monday. With some additional coordination and the new storage container on site, this just might be possible. The more people that can stay through the day Monday, the better.
Traffic is also lighter leaving the playa.
